Weekly Gluten-Free Roundup – November 27, 2011

Hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving with loved ones! I had a lovely low-stress dinner with close friends. The host smoked two turkeys (one for me to take home – I MUST have turkey leftovers) and we had a lovely green bean dish (not the one with cream of mushroom soup), some broiled brussel sprouts, homemade cranberry sauce and a yam dish that was good too. All around good food, good company and a lovely day!

  • Love these roundups, Maura! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving (and maybe even used a few of these). Thanks for including the Carob-Buckwheat pancakes this week! 🙂

      Hi Ricki!

It was a great, low stress Thanksgiving with good friends who know how to cook GF for me. Lots of yummy food. Today I made a turkey, cheese and broccoli soup from leftover smoked turkey. It tasted good but a few improvements are needed.

Hope you had a great day as well!

  • Thanks for including us in this roundup. It’s good to know there are so many options, after all, there are still may holiday celebrations to negotiate gluten-free!

      Hi Gretchen,

Thanks for stopping by. There are so many great recipes and chefs out there (not me, particularly) but as a newbie to GF I remember how hard it was to find them. My hope is that these round-ups make it easier for people to find all the tasty recipes!
